Leona Helmsley's Will

Leona Helmsley’s Will

Becoming very wealthy from an empire that Leona Helmsly’s once built in Down town Manhattan. Mrs. Helmsley had a Maltese named “Trouble” that I am sure was adored a great deal. This wasn’t your average Maltese. “Trouble” was about to receive a large amount of money. 12 Million dollars to be exact. Trouble was not the only dog that would be receiving money from Mrs. Helmsley. She wanted to give the rest of her fortune to the care and welfare for dogs. There was one thing that was unclear about Mrs. Helmsley’s Will. The fact that she didn’t specifically say what she wanted done with the money. This is where Judge Renee R. Roth of Surrogate’s Court in Manhattan will have a significant role in this case. She ruled that “Trouble” will only be getting two Million and two of her grandchildren who were left out of the will would receive 6 Million.

In my opinion-I would never leave any inheritance to any kind of animal. If any thing I would give a relative a little more money so they could take extra good care of the pet. I can understand that “Trouble” was very precious to Mrs. Helmsley. At the same time I could not see trying to give a dog 12 Million dollars. In my eyes, it is a little over board.

Livign out of Cars

More Living Out of Cars in Los Angeles

While the number of foreclosures and job lost raise in this country, people are being forced to relocate into their van, RV’s, and even cars. Los Angeles being the homeless capital of the world, a survey of 3,230 last year determined 7% of those were living out of their vehicles. It seems that people living out of their car or RV are better off than the streets. They are able to afford to keep up their car or RV by having a job or disability check but not being able to afford rent. Living out of your car isn’t always easy. Living this type of lifestyle you will have the problem of a place to park. Residents in Venice California are complaining of vehicles lined up and down their streets. This concerns residents not only from the talk of dealing drugs and prostitution from the vehicles. But from the precious parking spots that are being accommodated.

I think that people live for right now and not for the future. If people would start to plan ahead and save money for the future, they would find them selves in fewer predicaments in the future. Although I would rather see people living out of their RV’s and cars rather than living on the streets.

Flip-Flop Flaws

Ubiquitous-Being or seeming to be everywhere at the same time; omnipresent.
Gait-A manner of walking, stepping, and running
Exacerbated- to increase the severity, bitterness, or violence of

When going for a slip-on shoe. The Y shaped thong style might not be the best of choice for health reasons. Justin Shroyer, a doctoral student in biomechanics, has studied the way people have walked in theses flip-flops compared to regular shoes. The outcome was not very promising. The results from this study indicated that wearing these “Flip-Flops” causes you to make fewer steps. This could mean that you will have a greater risk for muscle and joint pain in the legs. Toe scrunching is another problem area when wearing these so called “Flip-Flops”. When walking in these shoes you scrunch your toes to keep them on your feet. The pressure often will add up to throbbing and tenderness in the toes.

In my opinion I can really relate to this article. I am not a huge fan of ”Flip-Flops”. I do, however, own one pair. My reasoning on not being overly stimulated, would be that I could always see my toes scrunch while walking. The discomfort was atrocious and unbearable in my toes. Needless to say, I don’t wear them anymore because of the discomfort I do have.

My life at Caterpillar

I have worked at Caterpillar Decatur now for two years. I first started off driving a forktruck. Nine months later I was converted and on my way to Assembly. I was kinda nervous at first since the quality of the produts would now be in my hands.
